Feed your kids and their imagination in one with the Millwood Junior Bake Off designed to help your little ones eat well and improve their cooking skills along the way. With the new season of the GBBO well underway, the programme has inspired us to don our pinnies as we launch our very own competition for the little bakers out there.
Baking has something to offer everyone, and that everyone includes your children. It is a great way of spending time together which provides valuable life lessons and bonding over tasty bakes. Itís easy to send your child away to play as you cook, knowing youíll get it done in minutes. But with a few simple rules in place, you can share together an activity thatís both enjoyable and practical.
Get set, bakeÖ
If thatís not enough to whet your appetite, we challenge you to enter our first cooking competition where both you and your little one work together to win prizes. The Millwood Junior Bake Off is open to all UK residents aged 7 and under and is open until the 1st October
We are looking for creativity from our junior bakers, so that means everything from colour, design to decorative display. If you've got real creative flair, share it with us. We canít wait to feast our eyes on your rolls, tarts, cakes and pies while ignoring the burnt fairy cakes. There will be a prize awarded for the most creative bake and a prize for the runners up who impressed us equally.
First Place: The winner, the one that our judges decide is the most creative cook, will receive this colourful kids baking set. Itís all the essentials a star baker needs to impress. This combination of fun and functional tools will encourage your child to continue baking Ė step out of the kitchen mother.
Two runners up:
Two runners up, chosen by our judges, will each receive this printed kidís apron and a selection of kitchen utensils. Easy to put on, take off and store away until your next baking venture.
What are you waiting for? To enter simply post a picture of your latest creation on the Millwood Education Facebook page. Don't forget to share your bakes with your friends.
Best of luck Ė let the baking commence!
